By Alexei Martinenok: Preparations for the VII Kupala Night Festival on the banks of the river Dnieper have entered the final stage. The event is expected to be attended by over 100,000 visitors.
This year’s truly international festivities will feature artists, musicians and craftsmen from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland and Germany. German musician and pacifist Tino Eisbrenner will perform a solo concert.
For the first time the festival program will include the quest game Searching for the Fern Flower. In addition, there will be a Kupala Night wreath making contest, a parachute show, a large-scale international vocal and circus performance followed by a fireworks display, a laser show and an ethnic disco featuring the country’s best DJs.
