By Elena Bormotova: Belarus’ largest museum – the National History Museum – is celebrating its 60th anniversary. Being home to more than 450,000 exhibits at a cost comparable to several budgets of the country, the National History Museum comprises 5 branches, including the Museum of the 1st RSDLP Congress and the Modern Belarusian Statehood Museum.
Five hundred craftsmen will exhibit the designer jewelry, home furnishings, and gifts for the New Year. Knitted murals, designer boxes and cozy rugs will be available for sale at New Year trade fairs, which will be held in the capital in the last days of December.
The cultural marathon continues. The 7th Christmas Opera Forum started in Bolshoi Theater Vladimir Gridiushko, Director General of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus: "This is a very significant event, essentially the most ambitious project of the Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus, together with the International Christmas Vocal Competition, it differs from many other festivals".
Belarus’ Bolshoi Theatre is hosting the final round of the 3rd Minsk International Christmas Singing Competition, a large-scale event known beyond the country’s borders.
The first prize of the vocal competition "Berlin Pearl" was won by Belarusian. Angelina Vasilevskaya in the age group from 14 to 17 years old.
"Berezino Ramp" welcomes the best theaters of Minsk Region unifying the festival of folk art, drama, comedy. Every two years, Berezino invites theaters from the neighboring cities Minsk region.
