A children’s and youth programme dedicated to the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing and printing pioneer Francysk Skaryna was presented yesterday at the 24th Minsk International Book Fair. The programme consists of stories by well-known Belarusian writers and research by scientists and teachers on Skaryna’s biography, travels, contemporaries and his scientific and philosophical heritage, as well as a performance in a redesigned printing workshop presented by ethnographer and collector Vladimir Likhodedov. The children's book Visiting Francysk Skaryna was presented as part of a literary event with contests, theatrical performances and award ceremonies.
Children’s books by national writers are offered at the24th Minsk International Book Fair by each of the 30 participating countries.
