25th Minsk International Book Fair concludes its work

One of the largest professional book exhibitions in the post-Soviet space has completed its work. For the 25th time the Belarusian capital became the center of acquaintances and exchange in experience of the largest publishers, writers, critics from 32 countries. Collections of books were presented by 360 exhibitors. The guest of honor was Serbia. Numerous meetings with authors, artists, presentations of new books, round tables, autograph sessions took place.

Elena Pavlova, head of the department of the Ministry of Information of Belarus: "The exhibition is always popular, always, but unfortunately, this year there are fewer visitors than in the past. Today we are thinking over the concept and design of the stands and I think that the next exhibition will be no less interesting for visitors."

Elizabeth Lewis, First Secretary of the US Embassy in Belarus: "Organizing such book exhibitions is very important in the modern world, just as the books themselves are important."

One of the most significant events of the jubilee book exhibition was the Fourth International Symposium of Writers "Writer and Time." In total, about 240 events took place.
