A major collection of original works by Henri Matisse is presented in Minsk for the first time. 118 lithographs and applied ornaments are presented in Savitsky Gallery. They represent all kinds of fine art: from painting to stained glass and book illustrations, from sculpture to embossing, ceramics and tapestry. The originality of the works is confirmed by certificates of authenticity and corresponding numbers, and their value is not disclosed in order to safeguard the masterpieces. All works come from the private collections worldwide. Each work is accompanied by texts from articles, books, letters and the author's reflections on his images. Belarusian masters are also presented in the same exposition space. The project includes more than 40 contemporary Belarusian artists, both those known to the public and those just starting out. The show includes more than 200 hundred exhibits.
