Minsk holds competition of investment projects among small businesses

The winners will receive a subsidy to cover part of interest on loans. The main condition is the creation of new jobs. Among the priorities are development of new products, export-oriented and import-substituting production, introduction of new technologies and energy and resource saving production. The city plans to spend nearly 8 billion rubles on financial support for the winners.

For the first time the competition was held last year. The winners were 2 companies producing furniture. Subsidies amounted to more than 660 million rubles. As a result, these companies opened 10 new jobs. This year, applications for participation in the competition will be accepted until April 1.
