Tallinn hosts business forum on Eastern Partnership

Another representative business forum was held in the Baltics. It was dedicated to the Eastern Partnership launched by the EU countries in 2009 for 6 countries: Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Azerbaijan and Armenia. Its main goal is to deepen the cooperation of the Six with each other and with the EU in various spheres - political association, free trade zone, as well as the prospect of visa liberalization.

For Belarusians, this forum is a landmark for several reasons. Digital economy. Innovative solutions for transparent business without borders. This is almost the matrix of the processes taking place today in Belarus.

Electronic governance and digital economy, cross-border trade, logistics and Internet commerce, innovative technologies, all these, as the speakers said, will allow us to rethink the commercial and economic environment.

But the main thing is that such joint coordination will significantly strengthen business ties between the member countries of the Eastern Partnership.

The new initiatives of the Belarusian business do not contradict the European Commission's action program within the framework of the Eastern Partnership initiative ending 2020. The main idea is to identify 20 goals in priority areas: economic development, market opportunities, and energy efficiency. And most importantly, the issue of specific programs is left to the partners' discretion, so, there will be time for the Belarusians to decide.
