UN General Assembly holds 70th session in September

The 70th UN General Assembly session in New York with an agenda consisting of 170 issues gathered 150 world leaders. Speaking from the United Nations rostrum, Alexander Lukashenko had to point out the theses of his 2005 speech. Even 10 years ago, the Belarusian President outlined the main challenges facing mankind, such as war, AIDS, poverty, human trafficking, terrorism and the unipolar world. All of this, unfortunately, is relevant today.

Lukashenko’s address carried a civilisational message. Belarus’ answer to how to achieve political credibility in the world is the "integration of integrations" project. In the age of globalisation, it is necessary to unite major regional associations, which are now competing with each other, and channel their potential towards peace and development.

The UN General Assembly session was followed by the launch of the UN 70 express train. For a week, it traveled across Belarus to spread development goals and objectives.
