Minsk has hosted the IIHF Continental Cup final for the 21st time. The competition involves 31 countries, so there are hundreds of clubs and thousands of players. Only four teams reached the super final, though. They are Sheffield Steelers from the UK, Ritten Sport from Italy, Nomad Astana from Kazakhstan, and Yunost-Minsk from Belarus.

After a resounding victory in the game against the Italians and a tough victory in a duel with the British, Yunost-Minsk played against Nomad Astana in the final.

Nomad Astana is a farm team of the Barys Astana of the Kontinental Hockey League, and it is known for its strong results in the KHL.

Yunost-Minsk played not only for the title and trophy, but also for a second license to play in the Champions League next season.

Yunost-Minsk was victorious, and now it is the club with the biggest number of titles in the history of the Continental Cup. Earlier, the team of Mikhail Zakharov claimed the trophy in 2007 and 2011.
