V. Makei: Official Minsk’s foreign contacts become more active than ever

Belarus intends to propose the implementation of a number of regional projects at the forthcoming summit of the Eastern Partnership in Brussels. As the Foreign Minister of Belarus noted, these projects primarily focus on transit, transport infrastructure, and trade and economic cooperation.

According to Vladimir Makei, these initiatives will be interesting, both for our country and for the neighbouring countries. At the first conference of honorary consuls of Belarus, Vladimir Makei pointed out that the foreign contacts of the official Minsk have become more active than ever.

Vladimir Makei, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:

"This meeting is taking place at a very interesting time. Foreign political contacts of Belarus have become extremely diverse and active, which is proven by numerous visits of foreign delegations and large-scale foreign policy events. Belarus is very optimistic about cooperation with the European Union, the United States, and also with the countries of the far abroad."

Representatives of 45 states took part in the forum. Honorary consuls are engaged in the development of friendly relations between countries, the expansion of political, economic, and cultural ties.
