Sochi to become center of Eurasian policy

Tomorrow Sochi will become the center of the Eurasian policy. The leaders of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia will discuss the development of integration and the prospects for deepening cooperation in different areas.

The meeting of the Presidents of Belarus and Russia will take place at the summit. It was announced on May 9 by Alexander Lukashenko. However, Alexander Lukashenko expressed his position clearly: no one is going to quarrel with our main partner, Russia, these are our brothers and all issues can be solved at the negotiating table.

Despite the problems last year was fruitful for the EAEU. Mutual trade in the top five grew by almost 30%. One of the key achievements is the completion of work on the Customs Code. It came into force on January 1, 2018. The advanced document contains modern technologies. For example, electronic declaration, which accelerates the movement of goods across the border. And it is possible that Moldova, which will be present at the summit as an honored guest, will return from it already in the status of the first observer country, said President Igor Dodon.

Negotiations with Iran on an interim agreement for a period of 3 years leading to the formation of a free trade zone have been completed. In addition, an agreement on trade and economic cooperation between the EAEUand China will be signed. These documents with Tehran and Beijing are planned to be signed already at the Astana Economic Forum on May 17.
