Alexander Lukashenko holds working meeting with Sergey Rumas

On Friday, the Head of state discussed several fundamental issues with Prime Minister Sergei Rumas such as economic situation, salaries, issues of integration associations and development of cooperation with a number of countries. Sergei Rumas has recently returned fr om Kyrgyzstan, wh ere the Eurasian intergovernmental Council was held. And next year Belarus will  chair the EEC, so there is a lot of work to be done. 

The President was interested in the situation in relations with Russia, how the agreements reached at the July meeting of Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin are being implemented. They  also talked about the supply of Belarusian goods to Georgia and prospects for cooperation with Ukraine. Alexander Lukashenko was most interested in wage issues in the country. The President often reminds the government of an important task – to raise the salaries of those on whom our health and the future of children depend. At the same time, the average level of wages in the country has grown.

In addition to salaries, people are always concerned about prices. They should be comparable in the first place with our income. 

But the cost of some food products has tripled since the beginning of the year. 

More support will be provided to large families. 12 thousand apartments will be built for them. Since 2021, each large family will receive an offer to build housing and improve their conditions.
