By Elena Bormotova: The Palace of the Puslovskys in Kossovo will for the first time become available for tourists this year. Four exhibition halls, the concept of which is being developed by Brest Regional Local History Museum, are planned to open this autumn. Scientific work on the project is currently underway. Restoration works have been going on for a decade, financed from the national and regional budgets on a parity basis of 50/50. About 500,000 rubles have been allocated this year.

The functionality of the Kossovo Palace is currently under discussion. It is planned to be a tourist and cultural complex with a hotel, restaurant and cafe, special rooms for business forums and scientific seminars. The Palace might become a branch of the Nesvizh or Mir Castles. The option of an independent institution is also under consideration.

The Kossovo Palace and Park Ensemble is gaining popularity among Belarus’ residents and guests: last year alone, Kossovo was visited by several tens of thousands of people. Given the introduction of a 5-day visa-free stay for the citizens of 80 countries, Kossovo’s potential is increasing.

The Kossovo Palace and Park Ensemble is located next to the Museum-Estate of Tadeusz Kosciuszko, the national hero Belarus, Lithuania, Poland and the United States.
