17 days of intense struggle, six medals and triumphant homecoming. Yesterday marked a year since the beginning of the 22nd Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, which was a landmark event for Belarus. The most successful Olympics in history resulted in Nadezhda Scardino’s bronze, Anton Kushnir’s and Alla Tsuper’s gold and, of course, a phenomenal hat-trick by Darya Domracheva.

Now the whole country is watching with enthusiasm as Darya is fighting for the Big Crystal Globe with Kaisa Makarainen at the World Cup in the Czech Nove Mesto. Next week, the biathletes will be competing for medals in the Norwegian Holmenkollen.
