The second national competition WorldSkills Belarus, which has taken place in Minsk this week, featured over 250 participants competing in 35 categories, such as graphic design, confectionary art, automotive technologies and more. The winners became a part of the team that will represent Belarus at the international championship in Abu Dhabi next year.
On Tuesday, Alexander Lukashenko met with President of WorldSkills International Simon Bartley. The mission of WSI is raising the status of blue-collar jobs and vocational training standards worldwide. Belarus joined WorldSkills International in 2014 and last year for the first time took part in the international competition of professional skills in Brazil.
