Alexander Lukashenko pays official visit to India

India and Belarus are opening a new stage of relations. It is important to take a step fr om simple trade to cooperation and mutual investment. Industry, pharmaceutics, the oil sector, education are just some of the spheres, wh ere the parties have found common ground. Belarus is ready to help the Indian investors in every possible way.

An official welcome ceremony for Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko took place in the presidential palace Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. The car of the President entered through the central gates. Alexander Lukashenko proceeded to the place of the meeting with India President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a mounted escort. There was a ceremonial salute in honor of the Belarusian leader.

The Indian market today is big and promising. The Government of India is actively developing the coal industry. Belaz is ready to take up the production of large machines for southern Asia.

India has headed for modernization. The Indian partners are interested in the technologies and opportunities of the Belarusians.

I see great potential in sales of combines not only in India but also in third countries."

Both MAZ and MTZ plan to establish here the production of trucks and tractors. The producers are attracted by the prospect of an Indian growing economy.

A big step was made in Belarus in the development of the pharmaceutical industry. The next two years will be the starting point for the production of medicines for oncological diseases, hepatitis and tuberculosis. Partnership agreements were signed with new companies.

One of the national projects is Qualified Indium. During the next 5 years, 400 million Indians should get vocational education! The country needs intelligent specialists and workers. Training centers are opened together with Belarus. The deficit of doctors in India is estimated at 1 million specialists.

Alexander Lukashenko voiced the idea of ​​using the advantages of Belarus not only for the development of bilateral relations, but also for cooperation with the Eurasian Union and Europe.

Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of India: "We will work to develop and diversify our economic ties, we will concentrate on building them on the basis of complementarity. The companies of Belarus and India should develop their relations and go beyond the framework of normal trade towards the development of cooperation and building deeper interaction."

The complex in Bolbasovo near Orsha can be an excellent platform for the future technological park. Here one can register the production of different profiles, from electronics and medications to clothes and shoes.

As a result of the negotiating marathon, Belarus and India signed a dozen agreements. The parties agreed to cooperate in education, science, increase the supply of potash fertilizers. The Indian market for the Belarusian potash company is a strategic one. The Memorandum provides for the supply of more than 4 million tons over the next six years.

Belkommunmash is planning to enter the market with its electric buses. They can become as popular among the 20 million population of the Indian capital.
