President makes personnel decisions in state-owned mass media of Belarus

The President of Belarus has made today personnel decisions regarding the leadership of the major republican mass media.

Alexander Lukashenko appointed Ivan Eismont chairman of the National State TV and Radio Company. Dmitry Zhuk is now the chief editor of the newspaper SB. Belarus Segodnya. The Head of State also approved the appointment of Igor Lutsky as general director of the television channel STV. The benchmark for all of them is the best international experience, as well as an attentive attitude to personnel matters.

Talking to the appointed media managers, the President highly appreciated the work of those who previously headed the largest republican mass media.

On the following day the new leader was presented to the team of Belteleradiocompany. Head of presidential administration Natalia Kochanova expects honest and fair coverage of the events in the country and the world.

It also became known that the Head of State signed a decree appointing Gennady Davydko a senator. In addition to the leadership of the public organization Belaya Rus, Gennady Davydko will continue to work as a TV presenter.
