The topic of national interests was raised by the Head of State during his meeting with the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Stanislav Zas.

Our countryman has been in this position since January 1. And now, in his new status, he came to Belarus to discuss the current and upcoming work of the military-political bloc, as well as the overall security and integration agenda (video).

Belarus' proposals for the development of the organization concern the strengthening of the CSTO international authority. Closer and more active cooperation with foreign partners is needed. Among the current programs for this year, special attention is paid to the fight against drug trafficking. A new draft anti-drug strategy is being developed for the next 5 years.

The plans also include 7 joint exercises, including "Unbreakable Brotherhood - 2020" to be held in Belarus. And Russia will host the CSTO summit this year. The exact date is still being agreed, but the forum is likely to be held at the end of the year in Moscow.
