The Ministry of Health of Belarus has initiated amendments to the anti-smoking legislation. Electronic gadgets for smokers will be equated to tobacco products.
The upd ated draft decree was discussed on Thursday at a meeting with the Head of State. The relevance of the question is obvious: according to statistics, almost half of men and quarter of women smoke in Belarus. The age of the smokers ranges from 24 to 39 years. Every third smoker smokes more than a pack of cigarettes a day.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, in order to achieve a positive result in this sphere not only bans, but also a thoughtful se t of measures are required.
