EOC Coordination Commission visits Minsk to access preparation for European Games

The Winter Olympic Games give way to competitions that play a very important role for our country. Next June Belarus will host the Second European Games.

Olympic licenses will be competed for in the Belarusian arenas in many sports.

The Coordination Commission of the European Olympic Committees has visited Minsk. Head of EOC Janez Kocijancic met with the President of Belarus. A number of working meetings took place in the NOC of our country, where issues of interaction with the government, facility readiness, IT technologies, a ticket program were discussed.

Guests of our capital note that we are able to compete for a place in the top 5 of the overall standings at the European Games. The visit of the commission ended with the meeting of Prime Minister of Belarus Andrei Kobyakov and head of the EOC Janez Kocijancic.

At the end of the month, about 25 delegations of European Olympic committees are expected to arrive in Minsk. And this is only the beginning of the key stage of preparation for the event of a national scale.
