The FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup 2017 in Minsk once again pointed out that Belarus is one of the top countries in this sport.

In the all-around, the entire Belarusian team was represented. In individual competitions, Ekaterina Galkina, the leader of the national team, won bronze and Alina Gornosko, the youngest athlete on the team, claimed silver. In group exercises, Belarus only lost to Italy.

Belarusian gymnasts are among the world leaders, and it isn’t the first time that international competitions are held in this country. In recent years, Minsk has hosted the European Championships and the World Challenge Cup. Next, Belarus hopes to host the World Cup. President of the International Gymnastics Federation Morinari Watanabe visited the Minsk World Cup stage and was quite impressed by the organizational level of the competitions.
