Ministry of Communication and Informatization sums up results of economic development in 2015

The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin, Aid to the President Vsevolod Yanchevsky, the leadership of the National Bank, ministries and departments.

The main topics of the meetings included computerization and modern technologies. According to the Aid to the President Vsevolod Yanchevsky, recently Belarus managed to get ahead of all CIS countries and many countries in Eastern Europe in the development of Information and Communication Technologies. In recent years, Belarus has risen by 14 points in the ranking of global ICT development, rising ahead of all the CIS countries.

The results of 2015 are as follows Belarus is 36th out of 167 countries in the world. We are ahead of Russia (45), Kazakhstan (58), Ukraine (79), Lithuania (40), Latvia (37), Italy (38) and

Belarus has all chances to become a leader in the field of ICT in Eastern Europe. Contactless technologies are introduced into plastic cards, student IDs and even passports.

Modern technologies are penetrating in all spheres of human activity without exception. Technology giants already compete in the projects that need to connect to all mankind to the network.
