President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon finishes his two-day official visit to Belarus

By Ilona Krasutskaya: On Saturday, the Presidents of Belarus and Tajikistan held negotiations dedicated to the cooperation in industry, transport and agriculture. The ambitious plans were reflected not only in a package of bilateral documents, but in Emomali Rahmon's visit to the enterprises located in the Minsk free economic zone.


Tajikistan is interested in establishing a joint venture with Belarus on processing and production of aluminum structures. This statement was made by the country's President ??after visiting a company specializing in the production of aluminum and roller systems. The joint venture will be located on the territory of Tajikistan, but the Belarusian side will be in charge of the supply of raw materials and production of structures. The products are expected to be exported to Afghanistan, India and Pakistan.


Also, Emomali Rahmon found the time for cultural activities. To the surprise of tourists and Ice Hockey World Championship visitors, the high-ranking guest made an appearance in Nesvizh, taking a tour of the Nesvizh Castle, attending exhibitions and theatrical performances and leaving a signature in the guest book. Besides, Emomali Rahmon signed a package of documents on cultural cooperation between Belarus and Tajikistan.
