Darya Belousova-Petrovskaya: Belarus and Rosatom discussed further cooperation at a meeting in Moscow. The forum was dedicated to safety, sustainability and stability of nuclear technology.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus, who headed the Belarusian delegation, the parties agreed that it is necessary to enhance works on the first block. According to Vladimir Semashko, the launch of the Belarusian nuclear power plant will help to reduce dependence on natural gas supplies. Today, 95% of the generated energy is produced from gas, so we need to diversify energy sources.

International Forum Atomexpo featured more than 650 companies from 62 countries, who held a press conference and negotiations with business partners on the use of atomic energy for peaceful purposes.
