Despite a number of negative factors, Belarus' potential GDP growth this year is estimated at 1.5%. For comparison, in pre-crisis 2019 this figure was lower and amounted to 1.2%. This forecast was made by specialists of the Eurasian Development Bank. Due to the absence of a strict quarantine in the country, we have managed to accumulate production reserves and stay in the market, say the bank analysts. In general, experts predict a gradual recovery in consumer and investment demand.
It is worth noting that while the world has gone into quarantine, we have increased the food supplies. The exports for 7 months have increased by 6.5%. Our conveyors did not stop, so the Belarusian industrial enterprises now have a good start and are already working on new contracts for the sale of products.
Belarusian GDP may add 1.5%
