Belarus cooperates with Russian regions

Belarus offers Kaliningrad Region to expand contacts in the industrial sphere and construction. Our country is ready to organize the assembly of electric buses in the region. This was stated at the meeting of Alexander Lukashenko with governor of Kaliningrad Region Anton Alikhanov.

The head of the region claims that there is great interest in Belarusian building materials and specialists. 50 % more domestic products were bought over the last year. Strong friendships and historical ties allow us to cooperate more.

Kaliningrad Region is the most western region of Russia, an exclave between Poland and the Baltic States. Belarus and the Region have established economic relations. The trade amounts to $260 million in the first 9 months of the year. We supply cement, fish, meat, dairy products, as well as soy and rapeseed oil. The key import items are televisions, paper towels, and cars.

The world's leading car brands: BMW, Hyundai and KIA work under franchise in Kaliningrad Region and Belarusian technologies are also used in production. There is also a dealer network of our manufacturers of furniture, shoes and building materials.
