By Olga Kholodovich: The largest Belarusian confectionary factory Spartak has summed up the results of a large-scale campaign held during the IIHF Championship. Minsk residents and tourists ate almost 600 kg of candies given out for free at the National Airport. The three thematic stands set up in different sectors of the airport could be easily found due to advertising signs.
Spartak's product range includes more than 300 brands, with exports geography covering 14 countries. According to Elena Pilkevich, Deputy Director General for economics and finance at Spartak, the share of exports makes up 23%, but is expected to reach 30% by the end of the year. The factory is planning to increase exports to traditional markets and enter Asian markets. Negotiations are underway with Vietnamese and Chinese companies.
