Belarus’ economy is growing faster every month, as announced today by First Deputy Prime Minister Vasily Matyushevsky delivering a traditional report on the economy in the Parliament’s Oval Hall. Moreover, the Government is confident that it is possible to maintain the GDP growth next year. According to forecasts, it will make up 1.1%.
Also today, the First Deputy Prime Minister announced a number of legislative transformations, in particular regarding the laws on investment and industrial policy. The process of privatization is planned to be made irreversible. A package of documents on simplifying doing business is expected to be finalized within a month.
The Government also believes it is possible to set the average salary at 1,000 rubles by the end of the year through enhancing economic efficiency and optimizing the functions and number of employees while maintaining high labor productivity growth rates.
