Customs Union to create independent laboratory for quality control of agricultural products

The Customs Union is planning to set up an independent laboratory for quality control of agricultural products,  this was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Rusy at a joint session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic. This decision is due to limited supplies of Belarusian products to Russia in connection with the alleged poor quality goods. It is possible that in the near future experts from the European Union will join. According to the participants of the meeting, the issue of the embargo should be solved soon.

 

Mikhail Rusy, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus: "I am confident in our products.  We have a veterinary center, it was checked by the European Union, because we deliver of the products to the European Union. All of our approaches, training, accreditation procedures are appropriate. "

 

Alexander Yurkevich, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Agricultural Policy: "The situation is quite unpleasant. However, I think the solution will soon be found, because the quality of our products is high. And they are in demand."
