The decree on ensuring safety during the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant has been amended. The new edition will regulate safety issues not only during construction, but also during the operation of the nuclear power plant. The document also gives the right to authorized bodies to control radioactive contamination without obtaining a license, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations is authorized to make changes to specific licensing requirements in the field of atomic energy use. This will speed up certain procedures in the future. In addition, Gosatomnadzor will be able to hold public hearings on decisions taken in the field of safe use of atomic energy. This provision was introduced in compliance with the recommendations of the IAEA.

For the first time the Ministry of Emergency Situations sent SMS alerts today. Until March, preventive measures will be held in schools, universities, shopping centers, factories, enterprises and other objects with a massive stay of people. They will be aimed at preventing fires, accidents, man-made disasters and the provision of first aid.

It is assumed that the action will be held in the country twice a year. A number of ministries, local authorities, trade unions of the country will be involved in the work, as well as public associations and other organizations.
