The serious intentions to expand business contacts between the countries were discussed today in the MFA.
Vladimir Makei, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus:
"Belarus regards Belgium as one of the most important partners in the EU, we are interested in maximizing the possible activation of mutually beneficial cooperation primarily in the economic sphere, including the implementation of investment projects, the development of industrial cooperation, taking into account the available positive experience, as well as expanding cooperation in the sphere of logistics, energy, chemical and food industry."
Didier Reynders, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Belgium: "It is very important to continue the dialogue, which can lead to further positive movement in the development of our relations on such issues as simplifying the visa regime."
The visit of Didier Reynders took place on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Belgium.
