The new facility with a boiler house, which uses local fuels, like wood chips, is being constructed in Borovlyany. This boiler house will possess a high capacity of 21 megawatts, which is enough to provide the villages with thermal energy.

Oleg Loper, Director of SE "MINITABLET": "Such a boiler house is economically profitable and replaces imported gas. The use of local fuels creates additional jobs in forestry."

Yuri Kukashuk, First Deputy Chairman of Minsk District Executive Committee: "Borovlyany is actively developing. Residential buildings, pre-school institutions are being constructed. Therefore, there is a problem of lack of heat power capacity and the introduction of this boiler house will improve the quality of services provided to the residents."

New boiler houses, which use local fuels, will also be built in other settlements of  Minsk District, Yubileyny and Samokhvalovichi, in the near future. Local fuels account for almost 28% of the energy consumption in Minsk Region.
