The large-scale harvesting campaign in Belarus is nearing completion with conquering a milestone of 8 million tons of grain. Only 5 percent of the lands under crops have yet to be harvested.
Traditionally, the current campaign leader is the Minsk region with a total harvest of over 2 million tons, followed by the Grodno region with more than 1.5 million tons. This year’s grain millionaires are the Brest, Mogilev and Vitebsk regions. The average yield in the country makes up 39 centners per hectare.
