Increase of trade turnover between the regions of Belarus and Russia: favorable offers from Gryzlov in Mogilev

Russia and Belarus are even more actively engaged in the increasing trade turnover, especially with the regions. Only Mogilev Region has signed 26 agreements. Mutually beneficial proposals were also voiced on behalf of Russian Ambassador Boris Gryzlov in Mogilev. They are aimed at increasing the representation of the Belarusian goods on the Russian market and loading the capacity of the factories with Russian orders. The cooperation in the production of technical carbon will also be developed on the basis of Omsk-Carbon - FEZ Mogilev, where two more lines are planned to be built. This production is not subject to foreign sanctions.

Anatoly Isachenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee:

Despite the sanctions pressure, or maybe even thanks to it, we increased the trade turnover with Russia by 40%, at 177 billion Russian rubles. And in my opinion interregional cooperation is the most important thing.

Boris Gryzlov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus:

Much of what is being done in the Republic of Belarus  will be in demand in Russia in connection with import substitution and in connection with our usual work, our usual cooperation. Mogilevliftmash is one of the leaders in supplying Russia with modern elevators. And, given the fact that we have a program to support capital repairs in the regions, including the replacement of elevators, the volumes that Russia can offer this company, I think it will fully loaded.

Bilateral relations will also touch on joint projects in education. Boris Gryzlov said it while visiting the Belarusian-Russian University. Now, more than 500 students study here under Russian programs. This year the financing of the University has been increased up to 74 million Russian rubles.
