Tatyana Runets on export potential, import substitution and protection of domestic market in Belarus

The Belarusian economy set a good pace at the beginning of the year. The first assessment of the gross domestic product for January-February has been made. Thus, the GDP increased by 1.2%, the volume in current prices slightly exceeded 28 billion rubles. 

The increasing sanction pressure from the outside stimulates the search for new markets and manufacture of domestic products, which used to be bought abroad. The Union State is also showing effective and coordinated work - new opportunities are opening up. 

Today, the main task of the two countries is to ensure stable operation of the economy and protect the interests of citizens, believes Tatyana Runets,  the Chairperson  of the Standing Committee on Economy, Budget and Finance of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belaru
