Austrian-Belarusian-Russian business forum brought together more than 150 participants - officials and business representatives. As a result, the agreement was signed on the establishment of the Austrian-Belarusian Business Council. This body will help improve the efficiency of business ties between the two countries - primarily in the areas of energy, engineering, professional education and transport.

Belarus is a country with an open economy, the development of exports is a key condition for the further economic development and the development of the country as a whole. The President of our country set special challenges for economic diplomacy. Therefore, government agencies and the business community of the country are actively trying to present investment attractiveness of Belarus for foreign capital and create favorable conditions for business contacts. Vienna Forum is a great opportunity for that.

The forum brought together more than 150 participants - the officials of Austria, Belarus and Russia, businessmen and other representatives of the business community with world-renowned names.

Austria is today one of the five largest investors in Belarus. Over 100 Austrian companies and enterprises are presented in the market of our country. Annual trade between our countries is about 300 million euros. The Austrian Chamber of Commerce is interested in cooperation with Belarus. Previously, they offered to create a business council including representatives of Austrian companies that already work in our country and representatives of Belarusian enterprises. As a result, today the agreement establishing the Council was signed in Vienna.

The document was signed by the president of the Federal Economic Chamber of Austria Christoph Leitl and chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce Michail Myatlikov.

Stable economic and political situation in Belarus and highly qualified workforce are the reasons why foreign investors are interested in Belarus.

By the way, the forum was held in a trilateral format for the first time. Representatives from Austria, Belarus, and Russia had the opportunity to discuss prospects of cooperation in energy, industry, agriculture and business education.

Cooperation with our country is today particularly profitable: with the start of operation of the Eurasian Economic Union new perspectives open to foreign investors. Belarus is almost becoming a Western Gate for foreign business: foreign investor receives a fundamentally new and massive opportunity: to work not only on the territory of Belarus, but also in the extremely capacious 180 million consumer market.
