New round of negotiations on Belarus' accession to WTO starts

Today, a new round of talks on the accession of Belarus to the World Trade Organization starts in Geneva. First Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Evdochenko will meet with the Secretariat and Chair of the Belarus Working Party at the WTO Kemal Madenoglu.

Dmitry Mironchik, the Head of the Department of Information - Press Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus:

"The agenda of the meetings includes discussions on the government’s support for agriculture, the ninth meeting of the Working Party, as well as bilateral negotiations on access to goods and services of 9 member states of the World Trade Organization. The talks will be attended by representatives of a number of central government bodies."

Earlier, negotiations with Belarus were held in Geneva on 9 June. Then, the parties agreed that the WTO Secretariat would circulate the first draft of the Working Party’s report at the next round of talks.
