The changeable climate still complicates the work of farmers in the fields. For the past few years, cereals and leguminous crops have been affected by long dry periods. The lack of humidity sometimes significantly affects the yield. Specialists of the Scientific and Practical Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Agriculture have developed a new concept of crop production. Recommendations of scientists were sent to the Ministry of Agriculture. According to it, it is necessary to gradually change the structure of crops and give preference to winter and more drought-resistant crops, such as rye.
The experiments should take their place in the fields and demonstrate good yields and sustainability.
