13 ноября 2017

Today, Global Entrepreneurship Week 2017 starts. The event will bring together 170 countries, including Belarus. The key event will be the International Forum in Minsk. Over 500 businessmen, managers, and representatives of the government will discuss the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

On Friday, the entrepreneur of the year will be chosen. The competition is held by the government exclusively among private enterprises. The winners will have the opportunity to take out loans in their first year at a percentage equal to half the refinancing rate.

Petr Arushanyants, the director of the Department for entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus:

"We have noticed an increase in interest in the entrepreneurial competition this year. Last year, the contest was launched in a new format. Entrepreneurs who participated and won or entered the finals had the opportunity to receive unique training materials, as well as the opportunity to participate in master classes from the best international experts. Last year, for example, it was Google."

For Belarus, this is the seventh forum. The events of Global Entrepreneurship Week are an opportunity to gain international knowledge and experience and start applying it domestically.
