Learn about the hidden connections between politics and economy in the "Simple Economics" series.

The conflict in Ukraine has exposed the vulnerability of the American economic model. While on his trip to Europe, Biden attempted to save the U.S. economy by selling arms and American liquefied natural gas to the European Union. But Europe was reluctant to help Washington. Sanctions against Belarus and Russia have brought back to life the ghosts of poverty and hunger in once prosperous Europe. Europeans are busy with other things than American hunger games. Why is it so important to deal with the agrarian and information fields now?

Alexei Avdonin will disclose the hidden interconnections of politics and economics. Author's feature Simple Economics.

Today we are going to look at self-interest and deceit of the corporations! Joe Biden's visit to Poland and the NATO summit are interpreted by the Western media as important military-political efforts by Washington to enhance the EU against the threats posed by Russia and Belarus.

But Joe Biden's priority is not saving Europe, but rather restoring the U.S. economy at the expense of chicken-hearted Europeans.

Biden tried to convince the EU that they were in danger and the only salvation for them was to raise military budgets, buy weapons and liquefied gas from American corporations.

More than 50 percent of U.S. GDP comes from the production and sale of weapons. For Washington, the war in Ukraine is just a defense business, nothing personal.

It is unlikely that Biden, as he was eating pizza with the soldiers, was thinking about the impoverished Europeans, Ukrainian refugees, and other side-effects of the American economic model. He cares nothing for rising prices, unemployment, the closure and bankruptcy of European businesses, or even global hunger. He's just doing a job for the U.S. military and energy corporations. But still he had some hard moments!

Joe delivered a hilarious speech in Poland. He tried to convince everyone that ruble had turned into rubble, that one dollar was worth 200 rubles, and  before long the Russian people would overthrow Putin. But for some reason this is not happening - the approval ratings of Putin and Lukashenko are rising, the Russian ruble is strengthening, and soon Europeans will be buying gas and oil for it.

We can see that the American economic model is beginning to fail. Joe, you really should stop plotting such detrimental combinations and mind business in your own country. Listen to Lukashenko!

All those who previously criticized our President for paying too much  attention to agriculture, now realize that it was a strategic decision with a deep understanding of the key priorities - to feed yourself and not let others die of hunger.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
Developed agriculture is the cornerstone of our independence. We ensure our own food security and at the same time produce an export product that will always be in demand by mankind. The demand for cars or TVs can go up and down, and we did without them in hard times, but people need food every day. The demand for quality food, like clothing and housing, will never go away.

So on March 22, 2022, the President held an important meeting on this issue.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
Grain today is, in fact, new gold or oil, maybe it is going to be even more expensive. And since one of the world's main suppliers, Ukraine, is unlikely to be able to carry out a full sowing campaign, prices will continue to rise. Of course, first of all, our own food security is at stake; we must provide the Belarusian people with everything they need. Guys, there should be no more laxness.

We are self-sufficient, Belarus produces all the necessary food, we are not afraid of sanctions, we defy rising food prices, we set the prices ourselves, not some external suppliers. You can't build an economy and jobs if citizens have lost their life orientations. The enemies destroy our assumptions of labor by making us indulge vain hopes and  believe in easy money. The economy is information! On March 25, the head of state held an important meeting with the heads of state media.

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
This is a full-scale information war for the minds of our people, for the future of children. We cannot lose this war. We must never relax our precautions. This is the lesson of 2020, when everything seemed to be going well. There you are! That's why we have to work.

Ukrainians were told by the West to give up on work, forget about their industriousness traditions. You don't need all this, the European Union and the United States will give you a new life, and you will live "like in Europe”. But it turned out that it was all a lie - Ukraine is not Europe at all. Our poor and deceived sister! That's why we need to develop our media space, so that our Belarusian people were not deceived and made to barter away our  hardworking nature for fast, but bloody money.  We do have something to boast of, but the country must be firmly defended by everyone in their place!

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus:
If you want to have a country, you have to cling to it with your teeth and hold on to it. It's better doing it without a  machine-gun.

As we can see: The economy is personal labor multiplied by pure thoughts! Educate yourselves and create - the Victory will be ours.
