The Federal Agency for Tourism of Russia and the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus signed a cooperation agreement in Minsk today. The document aims to increase mutual tourist flows between the two countries.
It is expected that the main areas of cooperation will be the improvement of health resorts, as well as the development of military-patriotic tourism. According to head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov, Belarus is visited by about 240 thousand visitors from Russia annually.
Belarus and Russia plan to raise the number of European guests. A visa-free regime for tourists is expected at the Augustov Canal.
