Industrial development under President's control

Alexander Lukashenko met with Deputy Prime Minister Yury Nazarov and Minister of Industry Petr Parkhomchik. 

Every fifth Belarusian is engaged in this sphere and it generates 21% of the country's GDP! Transport, logistics and other sectors of economy are tied to machine-building again. Belarusian manufacturers know how to produce a lot of machinery. It is necessary to improve the quality of products. After all, it is the main trump card in the export market. All the more, domestic equipment is under pressure with the help of not quite honest methods - sanctions. Here Alexander Lukashenko urges lawyers, diplomats to adopt  symmetrical reciprocal sanctions.

Important investment projects

The President also paid attention to the problem investment projects: these are the paper mills in Shklov and Dobrush and the pulp and carton factory in Svetlogorsk. The giants designed to generate good foreign exchange earnings have not yet reached their full capacity.
