The Head of State congratulated the agrarians on their role in the country's food security and success in the international market. "Having chosen this difficult but important work in the country, you have the right to be respected by people, you deserve the most sincere words of gratitude. Thank you for your devotion to your native land, your careful attitude to the natural resources of our Belarus, your devotion to the traditions of selfless service for the benefit of your country," the message of greetings reads.
Belarus is one of the five largest world exporters dairy products. Our country is also among the leaders in the production of flax fiber, rye and cranberry. Belarusian potatoes, buckwheat, sugar beet, strawberry and oats are among the world's top twenty producers. The country ranks 11th in terms of potato volumes, 12th in terms of buckwheat and 14th in terms of sugar beet. In addition, Belarus is 15th in strawberry production. We trade in food with 96 countries. This year's list has been expanded to include 11 new states.
