This means that the project on environmental monitoring in the area of the Belarusian nuclear power plant construction has received international status. Soil, air and water from Ostrovets will be tested not only Belarusian scientists, but also by public organizations from the neighboring countries.

By the way, experts from the International Atomic Energy noted that Belarus has chosen the best time to build a nuclear power plant - by 2020, the number of power-generating units is expected to double.

November 2 can be formally considered as the starting point of the Belarusian nuclear program, as the President signed a decree On the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
