The official Vilnius’ claims regarding the construction of the Belarusian NPP have not affected Belarus-Lithuania trade and economic relations, as stated by Ambassador of Belarus to Lithuania Alexander Korol on the sidelines of a seminar for foreign diplomatic mission heads.

According to the diplomat, Belarus loads the Klaipeda Port for one third. The volume of trade between Belarus and Lithuania turnover has increased by 8% compared to the same period last year, without taking into account oil products.

The annual seminar for diplomatic mission heads started in Minsk at the beginning of the week for the ambassadors to coordinate positions in terms of foreign economic activities. According to Belarus’ Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei, the ambassadors’ work in this sphere influences not only national economy dynamics, but also the sustainability of the country’s development.
