Representatives of the business sector of Belarus and Georgia gathered in Tbilisi to thoroughly discuss joint projects

Representatives of almost 100 companies fr om Belarus and about 200 representatives of the business sector of Georgia today gathered in Tbilisi to thoroughly discuss joint projects. Almost three dozen contracts and agreements. For example, Belarusian products will appear on the shelves of Georgian hypermarkets, this year the first deliveries of black bread are expected. The parties took the first steps from simple trade to joint production. The distance between countries is not small, the localization of enterprises will simplify and speed up the work.

The conference room today barely accommodated everyone. Nearly four hundred people searched for themselves as business partners. Representation is the highest. Vice-premiers, ministers, general directors of enterprises and large dealers on both sides. The site, which is not of little importance, has not only turned into tasting and demonstrating our capabilities. And it was the starting point for many ambitious projects.

Arrangements have been reached today in this matter. Training will begin in the summer.

Many Belarusian-Georgian projects had to be paused. Today, two documents were signed at the forum: for the supply of finished equipment and for its joint assembly.

In the next 2-3 months, a hybrid and an electric bus for experimental operation will be delivered to the Georgian capital. The need to update the public transport fleet.

Minsk Automobile Plant will lim it itself to deliveries and will sell cars to Georgia for a million dollars.

Belneftekhim has been implementing its products and partners' products in Georgia for the third site "BNH Tbilisi", created for these purposes in 2015. Last year's results were modest - 300 thousand dollars. But the arrangements of today's day inspire greater optimism - to finish the year plan with an income of 2.5 million.

The only way in which our goods are now coming here is the Georgian Military Road, the pass through the Caucasian Range. The road is sometimes closed. The alternative is the ports of Ukraine. Until agreed on the price, it is too high, and in fact these tariffs will be incorporated in the final cost of the goods. The governments of Belarus and Georgia are already dealing with this issue.

In an informal atmosphere, a big negotiating day ended. Days of Culture of Belarus are held in Tbilisi. The inhabitants and guests of the Georgian capital have an opportunity to get acquainted with the creativity of our musicians and artists. For example, the exhibition of works by Belarusian sculptor Andrei Ostashov had to be extended to the end of the week, there are a lot of interested people.
