Belarus' GDP in the first month of the year amounted to 101,3%. Industry and agriculture worked with a plus, sagging only in terms of investment. This was stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko during the meeting of the Council of Ministers. Today, the government summed up the performance of the economy over the past year and determined reserves for growth of the quarter and whole 2021. The main result of 2020 is that sustainable work has been ensured, despite the pressure from both internal and external factors. Business and the real sector were supported by 2 billion rubles. There were no delays in the payment of salaries, pensions and benefits.

Special attention this year will be paid to stimulating domestic demand, developing the domestic market, the attraction of investments in the economy, as well as export strategies. The stake will be made on local resources, their maximum use in the production of goods.
