Belarusian-Korean Business Forum opens in Minsk

By Dmitry Titov: The countries signed a memorandum on mutual understanding. Their trade turnover amounts to 100m USD, as they implement projects in IT and communications. Future plans include creation of biometric passports and logistics.


Choi Yanghee, The Minister of Science, IT and Future Planning: During the last 30 years the Korean government accumulated rich experience in the IT sphere, which can be implemented by your programmers.


The Koran experience is very valuable for Belarus as our country would like to gat n the list of 30 countries with best technological development.


Sergei Popkov, Belarusian IT and Communications Minister: Today we presented a Korean company, which invested 4 m USD in the development of IT projects.


New Belarusian-Korean Center will open right after the forum.


Dmitry Shedko, Senior Deputy Minister of Informatization and Communication of Belarus: Its principal objective is educational: raising the IT literacy and distribution of IT knowledge. It will serve small Belarusian-Korean projects.


The center will also be helping young Belarusian start-up companies.
