This proposal to hold the first international Belarus – ASEAN expo and a business forum in Minsk was initiated today by Vladimir Andreichenko at a session of the Council of the House of Representatives. According to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the forum that will bring together ten countries of Southeast Asia will make it possible to lay the foundation for the development of relations and to boost the trade.
In 2011, the Belarusian parliament was granted the observer status in the ASEAN Interparliamentary Assembly. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations is one of the largest regional associations. Its goals are to strengthen economic growth and to promote social and cultural development of the region.
