Transition to green economy in practice

Nadezhda Serbinenko: Borisov paper factory Goznak mastered production of recycled office paper. This is one of the stages of the international program of transition to green economy in Belarus. The pilot projects including Naliboki Forest and Radziwill palace and park complex will be implemented until 2017.

The factory installed modern automatic complex for innovative paper recycling, it sorts, cleans and grinds secondary raw materials. The whole cycle takes just 30 minutes. And in March, the factory will start working at full capacity: 50 tons of finished products per day, and four and a half thousand tons per year. According to specialists, this volume is enough to fully meet the country's needs in office paper.

Environmental Project of Borisov Factory is part of an international program of transition to green economy in Belarus. Its initiators were the UN and the Ministry of Natural Resources. Green Economy provides for further development of environmental legislation. The development of organic farming, innovative recycling, energy-efficient use of natural resources and creation of green jobs.
